Once upon a Marigold is about a princess named Marigold that everyone is afraid to touch because she is cursed to read the minds of those she touches. One day, a boy named Chris stars sending her notes by flying pigeons across the river to talk to her. She falls deeper and deeper in love with him, and also the other way around. When Chris becomes a servant at the castle, he overhears that the queen is planning to kill Marigold and the king. To save his kingdom and the girl he loves, he travels too far, and pays dearly for it.
